A day after six infiltrators were killed while attempting to cross the Line of Control (LoC) in Rampur Sector, the Army today gunned down another intruder in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
Defence Ministry spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel, Manish Mehta told IANS: "Alert troops of the Army noticed suspicious movement on the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector around 2.30 a.m."
"The intruder was killed in ambush. His identity is yet to be ascertained," Mehta added.
The Army had yesterday killed six intruding militants in Rampur sector as it foiled an infiltration bid on the LoC.
In another encounter in Pulwama’s Tral, the security forces killed Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Ahmed Bhat.
