Airstrike was conducted in Pakistan but some felt pain in India: Sambit Patra at India TV Conclave Vande Mataram

Pakistan is not strong enough to do any harm to India. We never had a doubt on the ability of our armed forces, there was always a doubt on the political will of the previous governments.

The BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra today lashed out at the people doubting Indian Air Force’s airstrike on the terror camps across the Line of Control on February 26. Speaking at the India TV mega conclave Vande Mataram, the BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “Pakistan is not strong enough to do any harm to India. We never had a doubt on the ability of our armed forces, there was always a doubt on the political will of the previous governments."

In a debate with Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera, Sambit Patra claimed that the “Airstrikes happened in Pakistan but some people are injured in India.”

Replying to Patra’s claim, Congress’s spokesperson Pawan Khera said the Narendra Modi-government was hiding behind terrorists and misleading the farmers and youth of this country by making fake promises. Khera reminded Sambit Patra that the BJP criticized Manmohan Singh hours after 26/11 attack.

“While Modi ji was criticizing Dr Manmohan Singh hours after the 26/11 attack, Congress got Hafiz Saeed listed in the international terrorist list instantly. You haven’t been able to do it with Masood Azhar after all these years,” Pawan Khera said.

Replying to this, Sambit Patra was at his witting best when he repeatedly called Narendra Modi ’56 inch wala Prime Minister’ and reminded Congress how the Gandhi family was having dinner with Chinese envoys during the standoff between the Indian Army and the PLA at the Doklam region.
