An upscale residential society in Ahmedabad's Naroda area woke up to a horrific news of three bodies being recovered from a flat on Wednesday. Sensational details emerged as the police probed what appeared to be a suicide case.
Businessman Kunal Trivedi (45), his wife Kavita (45) and daughter Shreen (16) were found dead inside their flat in Avni Sky apartment. Kunal's 75-year-old mother Jayshreeben was found in a serious condition when the police reached the flat. She is battling for life at a local hospital.
Prima facie it appeared to be a case of suicide. While Trivedi's body was found hanging, the bodies of his wife and daughter were lying on the floor in one of the rooms.
The police found a three-page suicide letter from the flat. The content of the note not only shocked the police but also reminded one of the Delhi's Burari mass suicide case.
Trivedi, in the suicide note, claimed that he was under of 'kaali shakti' (evil forces). The businessman went on to write that he was being compelled to take the extreme under by the same evil spirit.
"I never drank out of my will. The dark forces made me drink. I tried to surrender myself to our deity, but it didn’t help," the hand-written suicide note stated.
The police have registered a case and probing the incident from all angles. It is also waiting to record the statement of Tiwary's mother which could provide important lead in the case.
