27 Pakistani soldiers killed by Indian Army in first 18 days of 2018

Tension has gripped people living close to the international border and the LoC after Indian and Pakistani soldiers resorted to heavy firing. Authorities have ordered closure of schools within 5 km radius of the LoC.

Indian soldiers have killed at least 10 Pakistani Rangers personnel in retaliatory firing along border areas in Jammu and Kashmir in last two days.

According to officials, Pakistan has suffered huge loss in firing by Indian jawans. Several posts of Pakistani Army have also been destroyed.

In the first 18 days of 2018, Pakistan has violated ceasefire more than 100 times. As a result, Indian jawans have killed 27 Pakistani soldiers along the border in Jammu and Kashmir. 

On January 3, Indian Army jawans gunned down 10 Pakistani soldiers while  7 more were neutralised on January 15.

Administration officials said that international border will remain closed for three days.

Four persons including two troopers and two civilians were killed on Friday in widespread ceasefire violation by Pakistan troops. Two civilians including a woman and a youth were killed and 24 others including two BSF troopers and 22 civilians were injured in Pakistan shelling and firing on the IB.

Over a dozen cattle have also been killed in indiscriminate shelling by Pakistan Rangers.
