Mizoram Assembly Election 2023: Complete candidate list of Mizo National Front
The Mizo National Front (MNF) released the candidates list for the Mizoram Assembly Election 2023 which is likely to witness a tough fight between the ruling party and the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) and the Congress.
Mizoram Assembly Election 2023: Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has asserted that his party, the Mizo National Front (MNF), will return to power and bag 25 to 35 seats in the upcoming polls for the 40-member Assembly. In the present Assembly, the Mizo National Front (MNF) has 27 members, the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) has 6, the Congress 5 and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has one MLA. One seat is vacant following the resignation of one MNF legislator. The ruling MNF has announced the names of candidates for all the 40 Assembly seats. The MNF list of candidates includes two women and 15 new faces. Mizoram is all set to witness an intense electoral contest between the ruling MNF which is led by CM Zoramthanga, Opposition party ZPM and the Congress.
