RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat condemns atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh during Dussehra address
During the RSS Dussehra Utsav, Chief Mohan Bhagwat condemned the ongoing atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, calling for unity and empowerment to combat such violence.
The atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh were heavily mentioned during Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat's address to the public during the organization's Dussehra Utsav on Saturday (October 12). Speaking at the event, the RSS chief mentioned the ongoing atrocities faced by the Hindu community there and how the situation in the neighboring Bangladesh is affecting law and order in India.
The RSS chief stated, "What happened in our neighboring Bangladesh? It might have some immediate reasons, but those concerned will discuss it. However, in the chaos, the tradition of committing atrocities against Hindus was repeated. For the first time, Hindus united and took to the streets for their protection."
"But as long as this radical nature of committing atrocities out of anger exists, not only Hindus but all minorities will be in danger. They need help from Hindus around the world. It is crucial that the government of India helps them... Being weak is a crime. If we are weak, we are inviting atrocity. Wherever we are, we need to be united and empowered," the RSS chief added.
Significantly, Bhagwat, who has raised concern over the ongoing situation in Bangladesh, also highlighted the illegal infiltration issue India is facing from there. He remarked that as long as this tyrannical fundamentalism (those committing atrocities) exists in the country, the threat will continue to prevail against the minority communities, including Hindus.
"That is why the illegal infiltration from that country into India and the population imbalance caused by it have become a matter of serious concern among the common people in the country. Due to this illegal infiltration, the mutual harmony in the country and the security of the country are also questioned," the RSS chief remarked.
Further, Bhagwat, during his speech, also attacked the groups who were trying to create an atmosphere of anarchy and fear in the society. He stated that words like 'Deep State', 'Wokeism', and 'Cultural Marxist' are in discussion these days. They are the declared enemies of all cultural traditions. The destruction of values, traditions, and whatever is considered virtuous and auspicious is a part of the modus operandi of this group. The first step of this modus operandi is to bring the mind-shaping systems and institutions of the society under one's influence—for example, the education system and educational institutions, media, intellectual discourse, etc.—and to destroy the thoughts, values, and beliefs of the society through them."
"In a society living together, an identity-based group is motivated to separate based on its actual or artificially created speciality, demand, need or problem. A feeling of victimhood is created in them. By fanning discontent, that element is pulled apart from the rest of the society and made aggressive against the system. Direct conflicts are created by finding fault lines in society. An atmosphere of anarchy and fear is created by intensifying distrust and hatred towards the system, laws, governance, administration etc. This makes it easy to establish one's dominance over that country," he added.
Moreover, the RSS chief also urged the people to be mindful of those elements that are creating a rift among the society based on caste, language, province, etc. Referring, to the people residing across the states, Bhagwat asserted that arrangements are being made so that society continues to focus on the petty issues and does not understand the all-consuming crisis looming over their heads until it is too late.
"There is a sudden increase in the incidents in the country that incite fanaticism without any reason. There may be dissatisfaction in the mind about the situation or policies, but there are democratic ways to express it and oppose them. Instead of following these ways, resorting to violence, attacking a particular section of society, resorting to violence without reason, and trying to create fear, is hooliganism. The attempts to incite this or do it in a planned manner have been called as ‘Grammar of Anarchy’ by revered Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Incidents of unprovoked massive stone pelting on the processions of Shri Ganesh Visarjan and the tense situation that followed are examples of the same grammar that happened during the recent Ganeshotsava. It is the job of the administration to prevent such incidents from happening and to control and punish the culprits immediately. But until they arrive, the society has to protect itself and its property, along with the lives of the loved ones. Hence, there is a need for society to always remain fully alert and prepared and to identify these evil tendencies and those who support them," he added.
