Maharashtra cabinet expansion: BJP's Pankaja Munde, Sena's Uday Samant sworn in as ministers

Nitesh Rane sworn-in as Maharashtra Minister.

Makarand Patil takes oath as minister in Maharashtra Cabinet. He won the election from Wai as an independent in 2009. He has been an MLA from Sinnar 3 times. He won on NCP ticket in 2014 and 2019.

Pratap Sarnaik sworn-in as Maharashtra Minister. he comes from the Maratha community. Has won continuously since 2009. Is an MLA from Ovala Majiwada in Thane. In 2008, he joined Shiv Sena from NCP.

Sanjay Savkare takes oath as minister. He joined BJP from NCP in 2014. He is BJP MLA from Bhusaval in Jalgaon. He has been winning elections continuously since 2009.

Narhari Zirwal takes oath as Minister. Narhari Zirwal is an MLA from Dindori in North Maharashtra. He has won the election for the third time.

Sanjay Shirsat takes oath as minister. 

Jaykumar Gore has taken oath as minister. He comes from the Kunbi Maratha community. Has been elected MLA for the fourth time. In 2019, he joined BJP from Congress. He is a BJP MLA from Maan of Satara district.

Manikrao Kokate  sworn-in as Maharashtra Minister.

Shivendra Raje Bhosale takes oath as minister. He is a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He is a Maratha leader from West Maharashtra, MLA from Satara city since 2004, joined BJP from NCP in 2019. Apart from this, Manikrao Kokate has taken oath. He is an NCP MLA from Sinnar in Nashik and has won the election for the fourth time.

NCP's Aditi Sunil Tatkare sworn-in as Maharashtra Minister. She is an NCP (Ajit Pawar) MLA from Shrivardhan seat.

NCP's Dattatray Vithoba Bharne takes oath as Minister. He comes from the Dhangar community. He has been a minister in the Uddhav government. He is an MLA from the Indapur seat of Pune.

BJP's Ashish Shelar takes oath as minister in Maharashtra Cabinet.

Sena MLA Shambhuraj Desai sworn-in as minister. He is considered close to Eknath Shinde. He comes from the Maratha community. Shinde had made him the Excise Minister. Apart from this, Ashish Shelar has also taken oath as minister. He was a minister in Fadnavis's previous government. He is a BJP MLA from Bandra West in Mumbai. He is a Maratha leader of BJP in Mumbai. 

Ashok Uike takes oath as minister.

Atul Save takes oath as minister. Fadnavis also made him a minister in 2019. He reached the assembly by defeating AIMIM's Imtiaz. Apart from this, Ashok Uike has also taken oath as minister. He is an MLA from Ralegaon and belongs to the tribal society. He has been an MLA continuously since 2014.

 Pankaja Munde takes oath as Minister in Maharashtra Cabinet. She is the National Secretary of the BJP. She has handled the Ministry of Women and Child Development. She is a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council.

Jaikumar Rawal takes oath as minister. He became a minister for the first time in 2016. He has also handled the Ministry of Tourism. Belongs to the royal family.

Sena MLA Uday Samant sworn-in as Minister in Fadnavis Cabinet. He has been a minister in the Uddhav government since 2019. He comes from the Maratha community.

Mangal Prabhat Lodha took oath as minister. He was the Tourism Skill Development Minister in the previous government. He is one of the big Marwari leaders of BJP and originally hails from Jodhpur. 

Dhananjay Munde has taken oath as a minister. He was the Agriculture Minister in the Shinde cabinet. He comes from the OBC (Banjara) community. He is very close to Ajit Pawar.

Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Rathod takes oath as minister in Fadnavis Cabinet.

Sena MLA Dada Bhuse takes oath as minister. Dada Bhuse is considered a big leader of Maharashtra. Sanjay is a big leader of the OBC community. He was the Cabinet Minister of the Forest Department in the Shinde government.

BJP MLA Ganesh Naik takes oath as Minister. He has become MLA from Airoli in Thane. He is an experienced OBC leader of Agri community in Thane district. He came from Shiv Sena to NCP, then to BJP. He was MLA from Belapur between 2004-19. He was the Excise Minister in the Congress-NCP government. He has also handled the Labor Ministry. He has a hold on the backward vote of Thane, Navi Mumbai.

Shiv Sena's Gulabrao Patil sworn-in as Maharashtra Minister in Fadnavis Cabinet. He is an MLA from Jalgaon Rural seat. He is a big face of Shiv Sena (Shinde) in North Maharashtra. He comes from the Maratha community. Earlier he used to run a paan stall but was the Water Supply Minister in the Shinde government. He was also a minister in the Uddhav Thackeray government. He was the Minister of State for Cooperation in Fadnavis' first government.

Girish Mahajan takes oath as Minister in Fadnavis Cabinet. He is a big OBC leader of Khandesh region. He has won from Jamner. He has been an MLA continuously since 1995 and has been a minister in the Fadnavis and Shinde governments.

BJP's Chandrakant Patil sworn-in as Minister in Maharashtra Cabinet. He was also a minister in Eknath Shinde's government. He was the Revenue Minister in Fadnavis' first cabinet.

NCP MLA Hasan Mushrif takes oath as Minister. He has become an MLA for the sixth time in a row.

Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil  takes oath as Minister.

 The stage is set for the first Maharashtra cabinet expansion amid a tussle over portfolio allocation among Mahayuti constituents - Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), National Congress Party (NCP) and Shiv Sena. The BJP may induct a few fresh faces in the cabinet, the sources said. The new ministers will take oath at around 4 pm in Nagpur. For the second time after 1991, the swearing-in ceremony of ministers is being organized in Nagpur. Maharashtra DCM Eknath Shinde arrives in Nagpur ahead of the state cabinet expansion.

Shiv Sena MLAs who will later take oath as minister of the state cabinet met Eknath Shinde at his residence. Shiv Sena MLA Shambhuraj Desai said that they will follow the directions of Shinde.

Ahead of the state cabinet expansion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnaivs on Sunday paid floral tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar in Nagpur. He held a roadshow in the city for the first time after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti swept the 2024 assembly elections.
