Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address election rallies in Maharashtra on Wednesday in an attempt to strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) poll campaign for the remaining 11 Lok Sabha seats in the state. The first rally will take place in Dindori, followed by another in the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency. Notably, Kalyan is significant as it is where Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's son, Shrikant, is contesting in the elections.
According to details, he will also hold a roadshow in the Ghatkopar area in the evening covering a distance of around 2.5 kilometres. The roadshow will be in Mumbai North East Constituency for party nominee Mihir Kotecha. The BJP has made a comprehensive plan for the success of PM Modi’s roadshow which is likely to start from Ghatkopar East at 6.45 pm and end at Ghatkopar West at 7.45 pm, as per officials.
Traffic advisory ahead of PM Modi's roadshow
Meanwhile, traffic police has also made elaborate arrangements for PM Modi's roadshow in Ghatkopar. The LBS road will remain closed for vehicles from Gandhi Nagar junction to Naupada junction, and the Mahul-Ghatkopar road will remain closed from Meghraj junction to RB Kadam junction from 2 pm to 10 pm, an official said.

Roadshow a day after tragic incident in Ghatkopar
It is pertinent to mention here that the Prime Minister's roadshow in Ghatkopar is set to take place a day after the tragic incident in the area in which at least 14 people lost their lives. On Monday evening, a billboard fell on a petrol pump in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area while an under-construction metal tower collapsed on a road amid gusty winds in Wadala. At least 89 persons were extricated from under the hoarding, of whom 14 were declared dead while the other 75 were injured and undergoing treatment, officials said.
