Of all the days, Valentine’s Day is a special day for every lover and is also known as Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine. The Valentine Week starts from February 7, 2018, and ends on Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2018. Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day that honoured Saint along with other Christian saints called Valentinus. It is recognized as an important day culturally in many countries but is not a public holiday in any country.
It is observed that there are lots of stories about the saints who have some connection with this day. Out of them, the most popular one is Saint Valentine of Rome who suffered in prison for the crime of doing soldier’s weddings who are prohibited to marry Christians.
The one who did so were punished within the Roman Empire. This is the main story behind the day being dedicated to the love couples. This day comes with an opportunity to express love to each other.
