After giving you a glimpse of the couple's wedding invites, here is all you need to know about Sonam's man, his family and Rs. 173 crore bungalow. Anand is the grandson of Harish Ahuja, owner of Shahi Exports, which is claimed to be India's largest garment export house. Anand's grandfather bought a bungalow worth Rs 173 crore on Prithviraj Road in 2015. The 3170-yard plot was sold to Ahuja by Om Arora, the owner of Variety Book Depot in Connaught Place.
The plot was not considered lucrative by dealers because of its shape and was on the market for a couple of years before Ahuja bought it in 2015. It is a 'sher mukhi' bungalow with wider front and tapers towards the back. The bungalow is situated in the posh area of Delhi, Lutyens Bungalow Zone.
Meanwhile, Anand who is currently Managing Director of Shahi Exports is also the founder of Bhane and owner of multi-brand sneaker company called Veg Non Veg. After completing schooling from American Embassy School in Delhi and graduating in Economics and International Affairs from the University of Pennsylvania, he pursued MBA from renowned Business school Wharton.
Sonam and Anand met each other via a mutual friend Prerna. Anand proposed Sonam in 2014 and reportedly the actress took months to accept his proposal.
