New Delhi: The last month of the year calls for celebrations and parties. So let your hair down in style, literally.

Here are tips from Daniele Bauer, official hairstylist of TRESemmé:

* Sleek updo: The hassle-free hairdo is a party favourite as it can be done by women with different types of hair. Apply ample amount of gel or wax on hair, and then create a side parting.

Pull your hair into a mid-level ponytail, and smoothen it with gel. Twist the ponytail into a bun and wrap it tightly around the base of ponytail. And there you have your sleek updo.

* Side bun: It adds a little bit of edge to the classic bun. To get the look, gather your hair onto one side of the head and pull it into a ponytail.

Comb the hair back as this adds more volume. Twist the ponytail all the way down to the tips and wrap the twisted section around the base of the ponytail. Pin down the hair and add some hairspray for better hold.

* Bouffant ponytail: It looks like the bouffant, but it lets you show off a little more length with the ponytail. Split your hair into three sections - front, middle and back. Tie the back section into a rough ponytail.

Pull the middle section into a bun and secure it with a couple of bobby pins. Add hairspray for extra hold. Unfasten the rough ponytail and comb back the front section of your hair over the bun. Secure it into a neat ponytail.
