New Delhi: The year remained thoroughly stylish and a highly fashionable one. With many new cheery and acceptable trends in the fashion industry, the celebrity fashion too remained something to watch out for!
And while our very own Bollywood's all time stylish celebs left for no escape in turning gazes whenever they stepped out, a few of them stroked the fashionable chord in us.
No, we aren't talking about the best red carpet stunners or the best stylish public appearances this year; here we have top 10 magazines covers of the year.
The nation gets flooded with the haphazard arrival of popular entertainment and lifestyle magazines every month. And while most of these publications have everything similar to tell, a few are able to communicate with a sense of more ease and uniqueness. Here, the magazine cover plays its part.
Thus, crediting all to our eye of assessing covers, we have picked upon ten impactful magazine covers that immediately proved intriguing at the first glance.
Shruti Haasan on Harper's Bazaar Bride (May 2014)
Shruti made a unique style statement with the traditional sari, but with a contemporary twist to the look.
She wore a Rahul Mishra ensemble for the cover photograph, shot by Rid Burman and styled by Mohit Rai.
"The choice to put Shruti on our cover was due to her rise in the south as a mega star and we wanted to celebrate the South Indian bridal fashion. She is very versatile, which we have even tried to convey through our cover," magazine editor Nupur Mehta Puri said in a statement.
Esha Gupta on Grazia (July 2014)
Esha Gupta raised the heat these days. Apart from her sensuous public appearances in various events this year, the lady covered the July issue of Grazia magazine.
Looking extremely sultry, Esha donned the rough smoky look sitting on the sand spilling seductiveness with those intense looks. Donning a classy Pankaj and Nidhi jacket, Esha looked nothing but sassy.
Completing her marvelous look on the cover were Suhani Pittie chokers and the chunky anklets (from Amrapali).
Huma Qureshi on Femina (July 2014)
Huma Qureshi covered the July issue of Femina and the cover for the very first time looks striking and reasonably unusual.
The actress popular for doing a bit away-from-the-league characters in her films did quite the same with the cover too.
The Dedh Ishqiya star could be seen holding a dummy with lines ‘I DON'T OWE YOU PERFECTION! MY BODY MY RULES,' written over it.
While the lady looked poised and elegant in a black bodycon dress with gold statement earrings, the cover was surely one of its kind.
Kalki Koechlin on Verve (July 2014)
It was quite rare and unusual to see Kalki posing for a fashion magazine but when the actress did, she grabbed the eyeballs for unusual striking appearance.
Unlike the other Bollywood actresses, Kalki had ditched makeup, glamorous clothes and went for an audacious look.
The cover was innovative and eccentric and surely path breaking. The cover's design was fabulous, fresh and exciting. With the tagline 'Portraits of Fashion', Kalki had broken all the typical style of dressing up as magazine cover girl..
