Mumbai: Goa-based ace designer Wendell Rodricks got a standing ovation from his fashion industry colleagues and Bollywood celebrities at the Lakme Fashion Week here on getting the Padma Shri honour.

Wendell has been announced as the recipient of the Padma Shri, fourth-highest civilian award, in the category of art (fashion designing). To celebrate the honour bestowed upon him, Wendell was felicitated on day three of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.
