Puliyogare: It's a South-Indian dish prepared specially during Ganesh Chaturthi. It is served as a prasad at all Lord Ganesh temples. It is simple tamarind flavored rice cooked with fragrant spices.
Aamti Bhat: In Marathi 'Aamti' means dal prepared with spices. This dish is prepared using a special spice called 'goda masala'.
Puran Poli: Touted as the festive dish itself, puran-poli is prepared as parantha only with jaggery used as the filling and is served with Channa Usal.
Channa Usal: Though this has no special significance of its existence in festival like Ganesh Chaturthi. But Maharashtrian house-hold prepares this among other dishes as this is loved by all and also gives a dash of sweet-n-sour amidst all the sweetness around!
