International Yoga Day 2018: Baba Ramdev to hold camp in Glasgow

The Consulate General of India will celebrate the 4th International Day of Yoga in Scotland from June 15th to June 27th. Yoga guru Ramdev will also take part and hold a Yoga Camp in Glasgow.

The entire world is gearing up for the fourth International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21st. The day came into inception in 2015 following the proposal of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the UN. The Consulate General of India will celebrate the 4th International Day of Yoga in Scotland from June 15th to June 27th. Yoga guru Ramdev will also take part and hold a Yoga Camp in Glasgow.

Frank Ross, Lord Provost of Edinburgh said, "Happy to be hosting the event. We welcome everyone."

Days ahead of the International Yoga Day a curtain raiser event was held in Dehradun on Thursday.Yoga guru Ramdev and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat took part in the event.

Ramdev and the Chief Minister along with other participants also rehearsed for the International Yoga Day, which will be celebrated all across the globe on June 21. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to take part in the event.

Also, Baba Ramdev’s three-day-long yoga camp began in Kota, where thousands of people performed yoga.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be celebrating International Yoga Day this year in Uttarakhand capital Dehradun. The event will be organised by Forest Research Institute. PM Modi will reach Dehradun by 9 pm tonight and join the people at tomorrow’s event. This year, International Yoga Day will be celebrated along the lines of ‘Yoga For Peace’.
