Pets are something usual we find these days. Almost every other house in the block has a cat or a dog as a pet. But have you ever seen anyone in your neighbourhood living with the tigers? Yes, the big cats! Today, that is, 29th July is celebrated as International Tiger Day. While we’re going to talk about some interesting fact about this remarkable cat species later, let’s introduce you to a bizarre Brazilian family who has 7 TIGERS as their pets. A man named Aryas Borges rescued two tigers from a circus back in 2005 and grew fond of this big cat family. Two became three and later three became seven; he turned his house in Maringa into an improvised animal sanctuary. The man now owns seven tigers, two lions and one pet Chihuahua named Little. You’ll be heavily surprised to know that these living beings belonging to different and dangerous species live under the same roof with family members of Borges!
Aryas has three daughters, Nayara, Uyara and Deusanira, aged 24, 27 and 28. They consider their house safe and loving for these cats. Uyara has a four-year-old daughter, whose picture was widely circulated on social media back in 2013. She was seen riding the tigers fearlessly in one of the pictures.
Talking about his decision to keep these dangerous predators in his house, Aryas told ABC news, “You have to show the animals respect and love, that's how you get it back from them."
The 24-year-old girl swims with the tiger for exercise. She has been taking care of the Tigers ever since they were born, so their instincts have become dormant. There have been a number of cases where fierce predators are domesticated by humans and trained under well-controlled situations. But there are a number of examples where these trained exotic pets have attacked their masters. One of the most famous example is from 2003. A man named Roy was mauled by his own pet white tiger.
