Eid al-Fitr 2019 Eid al-Fitr 2019: This cute ad about 'sharing happiness' on Eid is winning hearts on internet

Eid is all about sharing and spreading happiness. The people of Muslim community distribute food, clothes and sweets among the poor and needy. Many people even make big amounts of donation and seek blessings from Almighty. Just ahead of Eid, during the pious month of Ramadan, a popular rice brand of India made a heart-touching advertisement about Eid and its true meaning. In the video, a well-to-do family is sharing Biryani with the destitutes on the road on the occasion of Eid. The post reads, "Every time you share this video, we'll share a plate of Biryani with someone in need, in your name.
With every share, #YehEidBanaoClassic!"

The ad has been made in collaboration with Feeding India which aims at eradicating hunger-related deaths in India. According to FAO estimates in ‘The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World, 2018” report, 195.9 million people are undernourished in India. By this measure 14.8% of the population is undernourished in India. Also, 51.4% of women in reproductive age between 15 to 49 years are anaemic. If everybody begins to think in the same manner,  this world would be a better place to live.

Not only on Eid, every day should be celebrated with the same spirit. God has not distributed fortunes equally among his fellow men. Thus, it falls into our hands to make sure that the less fortunates are always fed and taken care of. Many other festivals like Diwali, Holi and Christmas are based on the same principle.

Talking about Eid al-Fitr,  it is celebrated on the first day of the month of Shawwal. On this day, Muslims are not allowed to fast. It also ends a month-long fast which Muslims observe during the holy month of Ramadan.
