Jharkhand: Two youths killed after being struck by police patrolling vehicle

Two youths tragically lost their lives in Ramgarh, Jharkhand, after their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a police vehicle, leading to an ongoing investigation and community outcry for accountability.

In a tragic incident late Friday night, two youths lost their lives after the motorcycle they were riding was allegedly struck by a police patrolling vehicle in the Gola police station area of Ramgarh district. According to a police officer, the collision occurred in the vicinity of Gola around midnight. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Abhishek Prasad, the officer-in-charge of Gola police station, confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against the driver of the patrolling vehicle. This action was taken following a written complaint from Tiru Manjhi, the father of one of the deceased youths, who alleged that the police vehicle was responsible for the fatal incident.

"We have initiated an investigation into the matter," Prasad stated, assuring that all necessary steps would be taken to uncover the details surrounding the incident.

The tragic loss of life has sent shockwaves through the local community, prompting calls for a thorough investigation to ensure accountability. Authorities are expected to provide updates as the investigation progresses.
