Vande Bharat trains: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off two Vande Bharat trains on 15 September ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand. The new Vande Bharat Express route will connect Jamshedpur in Jharkhand to Patna in Bihar.
Trains to run from Jamshedpur
Both Vande Bharat trains will operate from Jamshedpur, with one running between Jamshedpur and Patna, and the other between Jamshedpur and Puri. The Vande Bharat train racks have arrived at Tatanagar for the routes to Patna and Puri. Currently, the railways will conduct trial runs on both of these routes.
The schedule for both Vande Bharat trains has not yet been released by the railways.
Vande Bharat Express Trains
Vande Bharat Express is an indigenously manufactured, semi-high speed and self-propelled train set. The train is equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities, providing passengers with a faster, more comfortable and convenient travel experience. The Vande Bharat train is India's first indigenously manufactured semi-high-speed trainset, also known as Train 18. It is designed to run at speeds of up to 160 km/h and is equipped with modern amenities such as GPS-based passenger information systems, onboard Wi-Fi, and CCTV cameras for enhanced security.
The Vande Bharat trains are equipped with advanced safety features, such as Kavach technology, rotating chairs, Divyangjan-friendly toilets, and integrated Braille signages, ensuring a modern and inclusive travel experience.
Currently, over 100 Vande Bharat services are operational, connecting more than 280 districts across the country, significantly transforming the travel experience for millions.
