The Indian Army on Thursday released a video of terrorists interacting with villagers before the encounter that began in Rajouri in the Bajimaal area. According to the Army, three days ago, two suspicious people came to a house in Kalakot and sought information about some people. In the video, the terrorists are seen talking to women. According to the Army commander, both the terrorists were trained and sent by the Pakistan Army to spread terror again in Rajouri Poonch.
A fresh exchange of fire took place on Thursday between terrorists and security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, where four Army personnel were killed and two others were injured in an encounter, officials said. Officials said that the fresh firing resumed this morning after a night-long halt in the Bajimaal area of the Dharmsal belt.

In the firing, one Pakistani terrorist has been killed, the spokesman said. He has been identified as Quari, a hardcore terrorist, he said. "He has been trained on the Pakistan and Afghan front. He is a highly ranked terrorist leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba", he said.
The area was cordoned off overnight with the induction of additional security forces to ensure that terrorists engaged in the encounter do not escape from the area, which is highly forested, they said.
The encounter broke out in the Bajimaal area following a cordon-and-search operation on Wednesday. Two captains were among four security personnel killed in the encounter. A major and another jawan suffered injuries in the encounter, they said, adding the injured have been shifted to the Army's Command Hospital in Udhampur.
