Earthquake: Tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir after 3.9 earthquake struck the region on Tuesday, a day after over 150 quakes rocked Japan.
The National Centre of Seismology said the tremor was felt at 11.33 am.
The depth of the earthquake was five kilometres below the surface at 32.76 degrees north and 74.57 degrees east, it said.
A police official said there has so far been no reports of any damage from anywhere.
The quake hit the region a day after over 150 shocks rocked Japan, claiming lives of nearly 50 people. As Japan authorities continue to analyse the damage, over a lakh people have been evacuated from the quake-hit regions.
