ICMR says that losing too much weight at once may reduce your weight but it can hurt your health. The Indian Council of Medical Research has also said that how much weight loss in a week is safe for your health. Besides, some healthy diets and lifestyles have also been mentioned. 

It is safe to lose half a kilogram of weight in a week?

According to the report released by ICMR, people should reduce their weight by half a kilogram in a week. Losing more weight than this can take a toll on your health. It is safe for you to lose half a gram of weight. Therefore, if you are following a diet to lose weight, do not stop eating completely. Don't try to lose weight quickly.

Can include 1000 kcal in the diet

ICMR has suggested that even if you are overweight, you can still take 1000 kcal in your diet. Your body should get all types of nutrients. By providing nutrients to your body, you will not feel weak and you will healthily lose weight. That means a balanced diet is the only safe option for weight loss.

Follow a balanced diet

ICMR has suggested people include green vegetables, pulses and fruits in their diet. At the same time, it is advised to do yoga and exercise in physical activity.
