Haryana Assembly Elections updates: Haryana is witnessing the single-phase elections for its 90-member Legislative Assembly today, after high-energy polling ended on Thursday. Parties including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress made last-minute efforts to woo voters. While the BJP is aiming for a third term, the Congress is hoping to unseat the ruling party. Other contenders are Jannayaka Janata Party-Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) alliance with Aam Aadmi Party and Bharatiya Rashtriya Lok Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance.

    36.69 per cent voter turnout recorded till 1 PM

    The Haryana Assembly elections saw a voter turnout of 36.69% by 1 PM on election day. Mewat led with the highest turnout at 42.64%, followed closely by Yamunanagar at 42.08% and Jind at 41.93%. On the other hand, Panchkula registered the lowest voter turnout, recording just 25.89%. Voting is expected to continue throughout the day as citizens cast their ballots across the state.
