Gujarat Lok Sabha Election Winner List 2024: The counting of votes for the 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat is currently underway. The polls were held in 25 out of 26 constituencies in the state in the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. In Gujarat, it has always been direct competition between the BJP and the Congress Party. However, this time Congress has joined forces with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). For the unversed, the BJP has already bagged the Surat seat unopposed after eight out of nine eligible candidates withdrew their nomination forms. This resulted in BJP's Mukesh Dalal clinching the seat ahead of the counting day. In the previous two General Elections, the BJP has clinched all 26 seats easily, which helped the party to form its government in the Centre. So, will it be again a cakewalk for the party in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections or AAP-Congress alliance be able to dent BJP's 26-0 hat-trick chance in Gujarat?
Key candidates and seats to watch out for:
Out of 26 Lok Sabha constituencies, result on one seat is already out as BJP's Mukesh Dalal has won the election on it unopposed. However, there are three seats which are considered important and much talked about and that includes Gandhinagar, Rajkot and Porbandar. From Gandhinagar, Home Minister of India Amit Shah is contesting Lok Sabha Elections 2024 against Sonal Patel from the Congress party. On the Porbandar constituency seat, BJP's Mansukh Mandaviya, who is currently serving as the Health Minister of India, is expected to face tough competition from Congress' Lalitbhai Vasoya. The other one to look out for is the Porbandar seat where BJP's Parshottambhai Rupala contested against Congress' Paresh Dhanani. The Porbandar seat is much in the news since the BJP candidate Parshottambhai recently made headlines for his controversial statements on Rajput, following which he had to apologise also. Political pundits are predicting a little effect on the people of his recent remarks.
