Ever since the Indian Railways announced its plan to roll out 12 private trains in 2023, social media has been abuzz with umpteen theories. Recently, a purported letter claimed that a man was appointed in the Indian Railways for a period of 11 years post payment of about Rs 13,000. It mentioned that his appointment effective from 2020 will remain till 2031, giving an impression that the Indian Railways will abolish permanent recruitments for contract jobs. But how true is the claim?
According to the purported letter, Bihar resident Chandan Kumar Yadav's appointment was made on the directions of Northeast Railway Joint Manager. However, the PIB Fact Check debunked the claim and said it was fake.
