The circular has claimed that this might happen due to increasing temperature. The message, which has been forwarded many times, further asked people to fill only half the tank and to keep room for air. It also urged people to open the petrol tank once a day to let the gas build up inside come out. The information given in this photo has been asked to share with family and friends.

Truth
When we received this photo through WhatsApp, we uploaded that photo to Google search image and searched. Then we found many articles and Twitter links related to this photo, some of which were one year old and some were 3 to 4 years old. This photo has been shared repeatedly on social media at a gap of a few days.
Its fact check has already been done by many institutions, in which this photo has been declared wrong. Further, when we dig to find out the truth, we found a tweet from Indian Oil. The Indian Oil in a tweet on April 9, 2022, said that it is perfectly safe to fill fuel in vehicles up to the limit(max) as specified by the manufacturer irrespective of winter or summer.
In our investigation, it has become clear that the viral message is fake. No such announcement has been made by Indian Oil. The company itself had denied this. That means the customers can fill fuel in vehicles up to the limit.
