After taking internet by storm with first short film Ahalya in 2015, director Sujoy Ghosh is back with his another creation Anukul. His latest film is an adaptation of legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray's story which he wrote in 1976. The 18-minute-long short film is a gripping story about a Hindi teacher and his robot Anukul.

It perfectly captures the relationship between Nikunj Chaturvedi and Anukul hired for domestic help. The film stars veteran actor Saurabh Shukla and Parambroto Chatterjee in lead roles. "'Anukul'. Satyajit Ray wrote this in 1976. We made a film in 2017. Hope you like this timeless story," he wrote on Twitter.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan also shared the link of the film calling the director a 'mad company'. "A friend, a colleague, a writer director and mad company makes this short film... unique, Satyajit Ray story," the 74-year-old star wrote. Sujoy Ghosh and Big B have earlier collaborated for films Te3n and Aladin.

Even though Ray wrote it in 1976, the story set in dystopian future is still fresh. Parambrata who was seen in Jawker Dhan and Traffic, plays the robot while Saurabh who was seen in Jolly LLB as judge is the employer in Ghosh's Anukul. The film also has small but impressive roles played by Kharaj Mukherjee and Kanchan Mallick. Watch the short film here:
