Radhika Apte is certainly not one of those actresses who is primarily seen in mainstream cinema. If you see her filmography, she’s seen in more offbeat films than in typical commercial Bollywood films except for PadMan. Soon after the Akshay Kumar film, the actress’ web series game is going stronger day by day. The day isn’t far enough when Radhika Apte will become the face of Indian web series industry. Her latest venture with Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sacred Games is already topping the charts on Netflix, and now she dropped another project which is not anything that you’ve seen before.

The project titled Ghoul is a dark web series which revolves around Indian Army, cult, crime and much more. Radhika Apte plays the role of an Army officer who helps her own team to arrest her father for terrorism charges.

Soon her life is sent upside down when one of the terrorism accused is brought in and he stars showing some unnatural and eerie traits. The description of the trailer aptly describes the web series; You can fight the demons of this world but what about the ones that aren't?

While the trailer of Ghoul is spine-chilling and dark, it doesn’t reveal much about the concept. Going by the video, it suggests of some cult and black magic performed by people pursuing power. Apart from Radhika Apte, Tumhari Sulu fame Manav Kaul can be seen playing a pivotal role in the series.

Another interesting aspect of Ghoul is that it is helmed by a fabulous ensemble of artists including the makers of  Insidious, Get Out and Udta Punjab. It will be streamed on Netflix on August 24.
