Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been the unrivalled daily soap on small screen for a long time. The show, which starred former Bigg Boss 11 contestant Hina Khan, is definitely one of the most followed TV shows among the Indian audience. After crossing 2650 episodes already, the family drama is gearing up for a two-year leap soon. The sets and the storyline of the show will be revamped to add a novel touch to it.
Talking about the leap, Rajan Shahi told a leading daily, “The show will undergo a revamp where the sets and the storyline is concerned. Not only is the story going to change but fresh talent will also be added to the cast.”
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has managed to remain among the top slots of TRP throughout its runtime in these years. The quality of the show is one of the reasons why it is followed by so many Indians.
The recent buzz is saying that the story will now move out of Udaipur after the leap.
Besides Udaipur, the story will show Mumbai city for the first time. Mumbai will be explored beautifully in the show. More characters will be included from the city in the storyline as well,” a source close to the show was quoted telling the leading daily.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has consistently delivered results ever since it was launched years ago.
“The success is because the makers have kept the core of the show always intact. And keeping that in mind, the soul and the texture of the show will not change hereafter either. A number of shows have come and gone, but Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has always stood out as a strong pillar of Star Plus,” adds the source.
The recent track of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai shows Naira being stalked by a man who followed her from social media. It addresses the issues of how women are harassed and how they fight back. Ever since that track unveiled, the TRP shot up.
“The TRP of the episode went very high. In the show, women from different parts of society come together and give a statement to men, who trouble women, that women are capable enough to take to task,” the source said.
The leap will be aired on TV on May 21.
