TV Actor Kavi Kumar Azaad, known for playing the character of Dr Hansraj Hathi on popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, passed away on July 9 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Fans are upset and confused as to how the makers will keep the spirit of the show alive, post Kavi Kumar Azad aka Dr Haathi's demise. According to the latest buzz, the makers are planning to replace him. And when SpotboyE contacted Asit Kumarr Modi to know about Dr Haathi's character in the show, he revealed, "We will have to replace Dr Haathi, if you want to know. It's the actor who has passed away, not the character."
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah's Dr Hansraj Haathi died after suffering a cardiac arrest on July 9. The sudden demise of the actor left everyone shocked including his fans and colleagues. Azad was cremated on July 10 at Mira Road Crematorium and most of his co-stars were there to pay their final respects.
Recently, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah team was seen bidding a final farewell to the actor. Now, the producer of the serial Asit Kumarr Modi and team paid emotional tribute to Kavi Kumar Azaad.
Posted on the Instagram account of the famous Gokuldham society, the video clip begins with Asit saying: Our dear friend, Dr Hansraj Hathi, is no more with us. Life is eternal and love immortal. With his acting, Kavi Kumar Azad, has earned your affection. He will always be in our hearts. Flowers wilt but their fragrance stays on. (Hamare sabke saathi, Dr Hansraj Hathi, ab nahin rahe. Kavi Kumar Azad played the role of Dr Hathi in Taarak Mehta for almost eight years, having replaced actor Nirmal Soni, who played the role for a year since the show’s inception, in 2009.
