In conversation with Karan, Aamir spoke about his forthcoming film Thugs of Hindostan and said that he is a bit nervous about it. Aamir said, ‘’You know I am nervous about this film for one reason. People are used to watching my films with a message or concept in it. This is a mainstream kind of film. I did have a lot of fun. I am hoping the audience will enjoy it too.”
Further on the show, Aamir also revealed the reason of signing Thugs Of Hindostan. He said, “Thugs of Hindostan is the only film I chose because I loved my character. This is way beyond Rangeela. This character is a complete rogue and has no conscience. You don’t want him around you. You love watching him but cannot be friends with him because you just cannot trust him.”
During conversation with Karan, Aamir shared his experience of talking with the megastar Amitabh for the first time. Aamir said, “I am a huge Bachchan fan. I do not know if the generation of today can imagine what it felt like to watch a film of Mr Bachchan. I also remember the first time I spoke to him. I was shooting for Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander in Ooty. There were no cell phones that time. I got a message from the receptionist that Mr Bachchan had called. I thought it was a joke, that someone was playing a prank. In half an hour, the phone rang and it was Amitabh Bachchan on line. I almost dropped the phone off my hand. In that conversation, whatever he said, I just replied, ‘yes sir.'’
