April 1, 2016 was indeed one of the saddest days of the Indian TV industry as it lost the talented and beautiful actress Pratyusha Banejee. The ‘Balika Vadhu’ fame artist committed suicide in her Mumbai flat last year this very day. On her second death anniversary, good friend Kamya Punjabi has shared a heartfelt post on social media. Remembering Pratyusha Banerjee, the TV actress said she’s not giving up and has full faith on the Indian judicial system.
Taking to her Instagram account, Kamya posted a throwback picture with the late actress and wrote, “2yrs n no trail also as yet! Dont laugh,i m not givin up, yes ur parents r miserable but “i hav complete faith in our juridical system” aise hi bolte hai na? To hell wit dat, value ur life kyuki aapki jaan ki yaha koi keemat nahi hai, people 4get n move on N U, You better dont rest in peace”
“Pls dont write abt my friendship wit her pls dont write RIP here agar kuch karna hai toh itna karo dont be blind in love, dont give up on urself, fight back, stop domestic voilence... just stop stop stop!!! Nothing n nobody is worth ur life! Bcoz when u die, there are hell lot people die with you!!! Breathe, stay alive!!! Life is beautiful”, the TV actress further added.
Kamya Punjabi and Pratyusha Banerjee met on the sets of Bigg Boss 11 and they were inseparable ever since then. After Pratyusha’s death, Kamya stood by her family and has been vocal about Rahul Raj Singh’s role in her death. She continues to fight for her.
In 2017, Kamya Punjabi also released a short film on Pratyusha Banerjee. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh had tried to get a stay order on the release, but he didn’t manage to halt its release.
