Shah Rukh Khan is currently hosting Ted Talks India Nayi Soch. In this week's episode, he hosted Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of a martyr. The 20-year-old Delhi University student spoke on how her life changed after her father's death and also about power of words. Shah Rukh also shared the stage with noted lyricist Javed Akhtar. In a short clip shared on Twitter, he recalled an amusing incident that took place while shooting of his cult classic Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
SRK revealed that Javed Sahab was quite unhappy with the title of the film and the beautiful title track that we still hum was thrown at them in anger. In the clip, we can see SRK saying, ''“I know Javed sahab since the time I came to Mumbai, almost for 25 years now. A lot of my thoughts, education has come from Javed sahab. Will narrate an incident when he got really upset with us. We were working on a film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai but he wasn’t happy with the title. He retorted, ‘ab toh mera dil jaage na sota hai kya karun haaye kuch kuch hota hia’ is that what you want? The lyrics of the song were thrown at us with anger. So, even if he says things in anger, they become golden words. That is his specialty.''
Karan Johar's directorial Kuch Kuch Hota Hai featured Rani Mukerji, Kajol and SRK in lead roles. On work front, the actor is currently busy shooting for Anand L Rai's dwarf movie, co-starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The flick is slated for Christmas 2018 release.
