It's been 18 years since Star Plus' popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi went on air. How many of you remember the show?
The show made Smriti Irani a household name and she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. Coming back to KSBKBT, which changed India television forever, it was one of the most watched shows.
Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi made its grand debut on television on July 3, 2000. A joint family, an obsessed mother of a good son and her resentment toward girls from impoverished families getting close to her son and the son, who created history.
KSBKBT is considered to be one of the longest running-shows and people still talk about certain episodes which are unforgettable. The son was named Mihir Virani and till date, no male character on television has managed to attain the legendary status that he had achieved.
The show gave us one of the best actors of Indian television, Smriti Irani, whose character Tulsi Virani went on to become a household name for eight years. The show took the adage Change is the only constant so seriously that Mihir saw many new faces. 
Smriti took to her Instagram page and shared a candid still from the show posing with Amar Upadhyay, who played the role of Mihir Virani for a brief period of time on the show. Smriti captioned the photo stating, "18 years ago began a journey that changed my life forever @ektaravikapoor @shobha9168 you believed in me when no one wanted to take a chance #ksbkbt fans & friends thank you for the support & blessings"​


Ekta Kapoor admits there was one new Mihir every week. Ekta commented on Smriti's post saying, "Hahahah har hafte mihir badalte the".
The show has completed 18 years and both Smriti Irani and Ekta Kapoor got nostalgic about it. Ekta also shared a photo with Smriti clicked 18 years back by saying, "18 years ago this day @starplus and @sameern changed my life ! While minister couldn't stop thanking everyone for believing in her, Kapoor spoke about how it changed her life.
