Sridevi died of accidental drowning in Dubai at the age of 54. Earlier, it was being said that cause of death was cardiac arrest but now, the forensic reports are out, and it says that traces of alcohol was also found in Sridevi’s body. Not only Bollywood, veteran actress Sridevi was a huge name in the South Indian film industry as well. As soon as Sridevi death news broke out yesterday, several Tollywood stars came forward to express shock and disappointment. Now, superstar Rajinikanth has reached Mumbai to pay his last respects to the evergreen actress. 

Her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor were reportedly present in the UAE city when tragedy struck.

Rajinikanth, who has shared screen space with Sridevi, mourned her untimely death stating that he was extremely “shocked and disturbed” by her sudden demise.

Dressed in a simple kurta pyjama, Rajinikanth has reached Mumbai airport and is headed to Anil Kapoor’s residence to bid final goodbye to Sridevi. Have a look at the picture right here.

“I’m shocked and very disturbed. I’ve lost a dear friend and the industry has lost a true legend. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I feel the pain with them #RIPSridev … you will be missed”, Rajinikanth tweeted on Sridevi’s death. 

With her death Telugu film industry lost a versatile actor, several characters she depicted in many films would be remembered forever," said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in his condolence message. Movie Artists Association (MAA) former president Murali Mohan mourning her death demanded that Sridevi must be honoured with Dada Phalke Award.
