Petta Trailer: Rajinikanth returns with another action-packed film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui makes his Tamil debut

Soon after taking the audience by awe in 2.0, Thalaivar Rajinikanth is back with another film. His upcoming film Petta’s trailer was launched on Friday and ever since then, his die-hard fans can’t stop talking it. The film is coming after the gigantic success of Shankar’s 2.0, which makes a lot of expectations rest upon its shoulders. The trailer shows Rajinikanth in his true form. It opens with Rajini’s character Kaali at a hill station enjoying a life with wife Simran. The moments of happiness convince us that everything’s alright. Soon, other characters including Nawazuddin Siddiqui are introduced. Others who were seen were Trisha Krishnan, Bobby Simha and Vijay Sethupathi.
Soon, the happily-married Kaali wields guns as the enemies march into his life. The action sequence have Rajinikanth written all over it.
Talking about versatile Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, he’s playing a college professor in this film, who has a violent past. Also to mark that Petta is Nawaz’s Tamil debut.
Petta is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, who rose to fame with Pizza and Jigarthanda. He even went on winning two National Awards for his film. Petta has been shot extensively in Darjeeling, Lucknow and Varanasi. The first teaser of the film was shared on Rajinikanth’s birthday on December 12. The film is scheduled to release on January 10 on the occasion of Pongal.
