Tamilrockers have become the hurdle for every filmmaker in India be it Bollywood or Tollywood. Just within hours of the official release, the notorious piracy group leak the entire movie online. Recently, Suriya and Rakul Preet Singh starrer political-drama NGK got leaked online within hours of release. This is not the first time that the website has leaked a prominent film. Previously, it has leaked films like Sanju, Zero, Thugs of Hindostan, Race, 2.0 online. Last week, Arjun Kapoor's India's Most Wanted also leaked online.
Despite Madras High Court's constant efforts, Tamilrockers continue to operate in India with impunity. With URLs being blocked, the notorious group has created many proxy websites for their loyal customers.
NGK has been directed by Selvaraghavan. Released today, it opened to mixed reviews from the film critics across India. The underwhelming views from both audience and critics have made it sure that the opening day numbers would be unimpressive.
NGK stars Suriya, Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. The film has been bankrolled by S.R Prabhu and S.R. Prakashbabu. It released on May 31. However after the piracy, the numbers are expected to plummet. The advance booking numbers were impressive for NGK. In just few hours, 10,000 tickets were sold in Tamil Nadu alone.
