Buzz has it that Columbia Pictures, which bankrolled Pad Man, is all set to bring the story to Tamil viewers. The highlight is that Akshay’s role as Arunachalam Muruganantham will be played by popular Tamil actor Dhanush, who was last seen in VIP 2 also starring Kajol. The Bollywood film PadMan, directed by R Balki is being loved by the audience as it is all set to mint Rs 50 crore at the box-office.
While Dhanush is reportedly portraying Akshay’s role in the Tamil version of PadMan, the rest of the cast and other details have not been figured out yet, reports say.
Dhanush is currently busy with several projects including Maari 2, his Hollywood debut The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir and Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta.
Besides Akshay Kumar, PadMan features Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles.
