Vikrant Massey, who rose to prominence with his performance in Mirzapur, is back on the big screen with his upcoming film 12th Fail. Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film is based on Anurag Pathak's book of the same name and also stars the debutant, Medha Shankar. Massey is portraying IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma on the screen.
In a conversation with IndiaTV, the actor opened up about becoming a father for the first time. For those who have sneered at the entertainment pages all along, Vikrant Massey is going to be a father soon. Speaking about if he has any inhibitions and apprehensions over welcoming a newborn, the actor said, "Not at all. No inhibitions, no apprehensions, no nervousness also. I mean, it's nature and it will take its own course. Aap kuch nahi kar sakte hain."

Vikrant Massey further opened up about working with Vidhu Vinod Chopra. When asked if they (the star cast) read 12th Fail during the film prep, the actor said, "Of course. That was the first thing we were asked to do. It's Vidhu Vinod Chopra." Speaking about if the film has been faithful to the book, he said, "I think, it's taken the book forward. I can proudly say that. There's a common perception that films based on books are not as good as those books. However, I am saying it with utmost confidence that we have taken the film forward."
About 12th Fail
Written and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, 12th Fail traces the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and his wife IRS officer Shraddha Joshi Sharma. The film has been primarily shot in Delhi's IAS hubs Mukherjee Nagar and Rajendra Place. It also stars Anshumaan Pushkar, Anant Joshi, and UPSC coaching professor Vikas Divyakirti.
