Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has scripted history by becoming the first woman to participate in the Raavan Dahan ceremony at the Lav Kush Ramleela in New Delhi. However, she didn't manage to successfully shoot the arrow. Kangana was accompanied by her sister, Rangoli Chandel, and was dressed in a traditional red saree with her hair neatly tied up. On stage, she was joined by Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.

Now, a video from the event has been doing rounds on social media where Kangana can be seen learning to shoot arrow to burn Ravan effigy on the occasion of Dussehra. Kangana tried to shoot an arrow three times but didn't succeed. However, she didn't lose her cool. One of the members from the Lav Kush Ramleela Committee assisted her in shooting the arrow, and during the process, she chanted 'Jai Shri Ram.' Watch the video below.

Netizens Troll Kangana

As soon the video went viral, netizens started trolling the actor for her failed attempt. “I can’t stop laughing the person who is speaking in the background, putla jalaya jaye. Asatya par satya ki jeet hui hai and this is so funny and embarassing, kangana should have taken YouTube classes," a user said.

Kangana Creates History

In the 50-year history of the event, held annually at the Red Fort, this was the first time a woman set the effigy of Ravan ablaze by shooting an arrow. The decision was taken by the committee in a nod to the Women's Reservation Bill, which was passed by the Parliament last month.

"Lav Kush Ramleela Committee also wants equal rights for women. Women's participation is increasing in every walk of life today but there is still a long way to go. The bill will help in the development of the country and society," Arjun Singh, president of Lav Kush Ramleela Committee of Delhi.
