Raj Kundra Pornography Case: Businessman and Ryan Thorpe's bail plea rejected by court
Mumbai police lodged a fresh FIR after another actress filed a complaint alleging that she was forced to shoot porn for Raj Kundra’s 'HotShots' app.
Businessman Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai Police on July 19 after being booked for alleged production and distribution of pornographic films through apps under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. The magistrate's court later remanded Kundra in judicial custody for 14 days. In a recent development, Kundra's lawyer had filed a bail plea in court which has been rejected.
Opposing the same, the public prosecutor alleged that Kundra is an influential man and granting him bail can affect the investigation. Quashing his claims, Kundra's lawyer affirmed that the businessman has been cooperating with the investigating agencies since the beginning.

Public prosecutor opposes Raj Kundra's bail plea
Case IO and public prosecutor opposed the bail plea of Raj Kundra Kundra and Ryan Thorpe. They argued that granting them bail can affect the investigation of the case. They said Kundra is an influential man claiming that he can intimidate the victims and witnesses by offering money. In addition, he said the financial trial of Kundra is yet to be ascertained.
Quashing the arguments, Kundra's lawyer quipped, "Is Kundra a terrorist that he will intimidate or threaten the people involved in this case." Further, he assured that the businessman has been cooperating with the investigating agencies since the beginning.
The lawyer also added that Kundra's passport has already been confiscated by the crime branch and therefore, there's no question of him running away.

However, Celina's spokesperson refuted all such rumours.

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday said it cannot pass any order granting urgent relief to businessman Raj Kundra, arrested in a case of alleged production and distribution of pornographic films through apps, without first hearing the prosecution. Justice A S Gadkari directed the police to file its affidavit by July 29 in response to a petition submitted by Kundra (45) challenging his arrest in the case.

Raj Kundra 'threw away' old phone
News agency ANI reported that the husband of actress Shilpa Shetty, was anticipating his arrest after the Mumbai Police took nine people into custody in connection with the creation and distribution of pornography.

Distribution of 90 adult films
Raj Kundra Pornography Case: The crime branch has found evidence against an accomplice who was involved in the distribution of around 90 obscene films. The investigative agency has found important evidence against a person named Arvind Srivastava, who was employed with Raj Kundra's firm.
The employee was involved in the distribution of around 90 pornographic films in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, in the last two years. Not just this, Arvind was also a member of a Whatsapp group related to Kundra's company. The police have found a connection between businessman and Arvind's family living in Kanpur.
