Mumbai Drug Bust Updates: Aryan Khan's security gets beefs up in Arthur Road Jail

Mumbai Drug Bust Case: SRK's son Aryan Khan along with five others, have now been shifted to the common cell of Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail after their Covid report came negative on Thursday. Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is currently in Arthur Road prison and all eyes are on the next development in the case. The Bollywood superstar's son along with five others, who were arrested by Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the cruise ship drug raid case on October 3. They have now been shifted to the common cell of Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail after their Covid report came negative on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mumbai Special NDPS court on Thursday reserved order for October 20 on the bail application.     Aryan Khan's security has been increased in Arthur Road Jail. He is being kept in a special barrack and is being monitored all the time. He is not even meeting the rest of the accused in the cruise drugs case.

    In Arthur Road Jail, all the prisoners will soon be able to meet their family members like before. The jail administration has written a letter to the collector for permission. Due to COVID-19, it was forbidden for prisoners to meet their families in jail which is why the prisoners were made to talk to the family members twice a week through video call.

    NCB arrests man from MP for supplying contraband products

    The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Bandra unit, arrested a man from Madhya Pradesh for allegedly supplying contraband products and presented before a court on Saturday. He was sent the accused to police custody until October 20, said officials. According to NCB, on June 30, 2021, the Anti-Narcotics Cell had arrested two drug peddlers from Goregaon and Malad and seized 1.1 kg of mephedrone and 1.8 kg of heroin drugs worth Rs 5 crore

    According to the order of the High Court, all the accused or prisoners who are logged in the jail amid COVID-19 can talk to their family members twice a week via video call. "Aryan was on the call for 10 minutes with his parents, and a jail official was present with him during the call," said the official.

    According to the superintendent, the jail authorities received the money order from Aryan Khan's family on October 11, which is meant for his expenses in the jail canteen. As per the rules of the jail, a prisoner can receive a money order of Rs 4500 maximum for their expenses inside the jail.

    NCB raids underway

    The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted raids at two places in Palghar district and allegedly seized 505 grams of Mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 1 Crore. The agency also intercepted a drug peddler, who was going to supply the drug to his customer in Mumbai.

    A total of 20 people, including two Nigerian nationals, have been arrested so far in the case related to the seizure of drugs following a raid at a party on the Cordelia cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2. An NCB team busted an alleged drugs party on the Cordelia Cruise ship which was on its way to Goa at mid-sea on October 2.
