Darshan further claimed that Juhi Chawla turned on him and said, "But you’re not Sooraj Barjatya." Replying to her, he said, "You’re not Madhuri Dixit." Following the spat, the actor rejected Raja Hindustani.
The filmmaker also revealed that Chawla called her the next day, apologised, and asked him to meet her again. He further said before meeting her, he went and narrated the film to Karisma Kapoor and Aamir Khan approved it.
