Ranveer Singh is all set to bounce back on the big screen with Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy with Alia Bhatt. The actor is not ready to give any chance to his fans to miss him as he has been ruling headlines since the start of the time. 2018 was the year for Ranveer Singh with Padmaavat and Simmba winning him endless accolades and now Gully Boy trailer has already determined that it will be his best performance. But when it comes to Ranveer Singh, he credits all his success to his lady luck and wife Deepika Padukone and feels proud to have her in his life. 

A picture went viral a few days ago from Simmba’s success party in which the Padmaavat actress was seen showering her blessings on Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh and director Rohit Shetty as the three bow down to him. The picture left many people amused and now Ranveer has finally revealed the real story behind that picture. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ranveer Singh explained that right before the viral picture was taken, a conversation had happened between the four of them where they were discussing about how ‘Lakshmi (as in the Goddess of wealth) has come home’ pointing out at his lady luck Deepika Padukone. So, they thought they should take Lakshmi’s blessings and hence, the picture was clicked. He said, “So she blessed us and we did that and it was a cute moment.” After the bash, it was filmmaker Karan Johar who shared the picture on his Instagram stories and captioned it, “Good luck blessings’.

Ranveer Singh’s Simmba is a blockbuster on the box office and is director Rohit Shetty’s eight film to cross the 100 crore mark. Numbers haven’t stopped pouring in on the film and it has already minted 200 crores after week 2. Sharing the latest box office numbers, Taran Adarsh said, “#Simmba roars louder with a DOUBLE CENTURY... Hits ₹ 200 cr mark... Shows solid hold on weekdays, which indicates it won’t slow down soon... Talking about Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh has always maintained that he is grateful that she is in his life. Recently, in an interview with Filmfare, the Bajirao actor revealed that Deepika is 'gharelu' wife and he completely loves that about her. He goes on to say that he wants to be 'husband of the millennium'. Talking about his married life, Ranveer claimed, ''I'm gonna glide and breeze through it."

On the work front, Ranveer Singh will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy alongside Alia Bhatt. This year he will also start shooting for Kapil Dev’s biopic and has revealed that he is very excited about it. Rumors also suggest that Deepika Padukone will play the role of his onscreen wife as well in the biopic of the cricket legend.
