For the past few days Sara Ali Khan has been making headlines for reportedly sharing screen space with Kartik Aaryan in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2. However, even before the official confirmation would come from the actress, another report has started doing rounds on the internet that she has walked out of the project. As per a BollywoodLife report, due to some script issues, Sara Ali Khan has left the film. However, no official comment has been made by the actress or the filmmaker.
Earlier, there was a buzz that Saif Ali Khan might play Sara Ali Khan’s onscreen father in the Imtiaz Ali’s film. Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan was the male lead in the original hit film that also had Deepika Padukone in the lead role. However, the actor refuted the reports and refused to have any knowledge about the same.
Love Aaj Kal released in 2009 and became an instant hit among the youngsters. The film traced the complexities of human relationships in the present and old times. The movie also had Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor in important roles. In a recent interview when Sara Ali Khan was asked about working with her father Saif Ali Khan, she said, “I'd love to do a film with Abba. But, the film and our characters must justify our presence. We can't do a film for doing's sake.”
