New York: Tommy Ramone, the last surviving original member of the legendary punk rock group The Ramones, is dead. He was 62.
Tommy Ramone, who worked with the group in their first three albums, died Friday at his home in the Ridgewood area of Queens.
He had been in a hospice following bile duct cancer treatments, reports variety.com.
Tommy stopped drumming for the band in 1984 and he was replaced by Marky Ramone, but still worked with the Ramones throughout the years.
Tommy is credited for writing most of "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" and "Blitzkrieg Bop".
