London, May 6: Actor-director Kevin Spacey named his new pet dog Boston to pay tribute to the city in the wake of last month's bombings.
The actor posted pictures of his puppy, that he reportedly adopted from North Shore Animal League America in New York, on Twitter and wrote: "New member of the family. Her name is Boston in honour of the city."
The 53-year-old actor even visited the victims, medical staff and cops who were involved in last month's brutal act.
"I'm not a doctor or first responder, but if people know me from movies, and walking into their work space or room brings a smile to their face - with the challenges these amazing citizens have in front of them - then that's worth coming," femalefirst.co.uk quoted the actor as saying.
He added: "The cops, nurses, doctors, hospital staff and patients that I have met over the past few days have given me the greatest feeling of pride in being an American and made me understand that we are all Boston."
