Washington, DC, Oct 10: Robbie Williams is reportedly in talks to re-join his former band ‘Take That' for a performance at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics next year.
The singer rejoined his former bandmates in 2010, 14 years after quitting the group, and he exited once again following the completion of the band's Progress Live shows this summer.
Oscar winning director, Danny Boyle is organizing the show and is apparently convincing the band to stage another reunion at the mega event when the games hit London in 2012.
“Danny is keen on reuniting them and they would be mad to turn it down,” Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.
Despite neither of them (Williams or Take That) cracking America they both have real international fame and he thinks they would be perfect for the musical opening ceremony,” the source added.
