Los Angeles: Actor Keanu Reeves has been getting along famously well with his action thriller "47 Ronin" co-star Hiroyuki Sanada. The two have been praising each other while talking about the time they spent together.
"I didn't have a brother before ('47 Ronin'), but I have one now,” Reeves said in a statement.
Sanada also respects Reeves a lot and spoke about the time the two shared with each other.
“From the rehearsal period on we spent a lot of time together, some six months. We prepared dialogue and practiced a lot of fight scenes, so physically and mentally we shared a lot. Keanu is always very calm and respectful. I respect him very much, as an actor and as a person,” he said.
Based on one of Japan's most enduring legends, the extraordinary tale of courage has its origins in the early 18th century, when 47 noble samurai honoured the untimely death of their master by avenging him.
The two actors will be seen seeking vengeance upon the treacherous Lord Kira in the film.
“47 Ronin” will release in India Dec 27 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
