Los Angeles, Aug 3: Actress Kate Bosworth used to get fashion advice from her father and says that it has stayed with her.
He father told her to spend on quality clothes instead of short-lived trends. The "Blue Crush" star is passionate about fashion and she owes it to her father Harold, who worked in retail his whole life.
"I learned so much from my father. Mostly that classic design would stand the test of time, and fads and trends will come and go. When I was a teenager, I despised hearing this because I wanted to shroud myself in the latest trends and styles," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Bosworth as saying.
"The more I understood what my taste was, the more I realised it was very much what he instilled in me, which is a very classical, minimalist take on design," she added.
The 30-year-old is also seen as a style icon by many. She created festival-themed capsule collection for British multinational retailer Topshop.
